Type of image scaling. The process where a video picture is increased in size by processing pixels and lines through interpolation or replication. A 640 x 512 image will take up one quarter of a 1280 x 1024 screen. To fill the screen, the 640 x 512 image must be zoomed. Zooming makes the picture larger so that it can be viewed in greater detail.
