Romawi Polansk

Born Roman Polanski (18 August 1933), a Polish-French film director, producer, writer and actor. He is considered one of the few "truly international filmmakers. " since he has made movies in Poland, Britain, America and France. His films have often been compared to those of Alfred Hitchcock for their dark twist and odd humor. Among his most famous films are the Oscar winning horror film Rosemary's Baby (1968), Chinatown (1974) which was nominated for eleven Academy Awards and the Pianist (2002), which won three Academy Awards including Best Director. His most recent film is The Ghost Writer (2010), a thriller focusing on a ghostwriter working with a former British prime minister loosely inspired by Tony Blair. It swept the European Film Awards in 2010, winning six awards, including best movie, director, actor and screenplay.
